Application Information

The Lititz Youth Soccer Club is dedicated the development of the youth in our community both on and off the playing field. In an effort to help develop the youth of our community, and prepare them for the future, the Lititz Youth Soccer Club will be offering annual scholarship awards of $1,000.00 each to one graduating male and one graduating female rostered on their school’s soccer team.

This Scholarship will be known as the “LYSC Scholarship” and will be managed and controlled by a scholarship committee appointed by the Lititz Youth Soccer Club board of directors and officers. This committee will establish the rules and criteria for the administration of this scholarship and shall make modifications as needed.

This scholarship shall be part of Lititz Youth Soccer Club’s annual operating budget and shall be available each year as deemed financially feasible by the Lititz Youth Soccer Club’s board of directors and officers.

All applications will be reviewed by the committee, and the winners will be chosen based on the combination of data received with their application as follows, in no particular order.
1.GPA
2.Essay. grammar, spelling, content.
3.Letters of reference. Character on and off the field
4.Community service.
Any one who has a family member applying for this scholarship will not be eligible to sit on the scholarship committee.

Criteria for Consideration

1.Applicant must be a resident of the Warwick School District and have played with the Lititz Youth Soccer Club at some point.
2.Applicant must be a graduating senior and have been on the roster of his or her school’s soccer team between 7th and 12th grades.
3.Applicant must have maintained a 2.75 or better GPA at the end of the first semester of their senior year.
4.Applicant must provide two (2) letters of reference (non-relative) that can attest to their character traits and work ethic.
5.Applicant must submit a 250 word (minimum) essay on how the Lititz Youth Soccer Club and your soccer experience help prepare you for the future.
6.Applicant must have intentions of enrolling and attending a post-secondary educational institution (i.e. college, university, vocational/technical school) following graduation.
